WORKING GROUPS, GENDER, AND PUBLICATION IMPACT OF CANADA’S ECOLOGY AND EVOLUTION FACULTY

This article in FACETS is a collaboration of ecology and sociology researchers by Q. Wei, F. Lachapelle, S. Fuller, and D. Srivastava. This study shows that participating in a working groups benefits researchers, increasing by 14% the rate of their H-index progression. Importantly, this benefit does not differ with researcher gender - even though, in general, there are marked gender disparities in publication impact among Canada’s ecology and evolution faculty.
