APPLY FOR An LDP DATA INTERNSHIP
The application deadline to apply for Living Data Project internships in data rescue and archiving is June 18, 2024 for internships November 1, 2024 to February 28, 2025. The 6-week internships provide a fellowship of $6500. Students must be currently registered in a graduate program in ecology, environmental science, evolution or a related discipline in a Canadian university. Students should either be enrolled in a CIEE member university, or they or their supervisor must be a current CSEE member. Internships can contribute to your graduate salary, similar to a TAship.
Priority will be given to graduate students who have taken the Living Data Project courses “Productivity and reproducibility in ecology and evolution” and “Scientific data management for ecology and evolution,” although graduate students who are willing to commit to taking these one-month virtual courses in fall 2024 will also be considered. Students should demonstrate strong programming skills in R and understand the fundamentals of data management, data archiving and reproducible research.
