APPLY FOR An LDP DATA INTERNSHIP
The application deadline to apply for Living Data Project internships in data rescue and archiving is January 21, 2025 for internships May 1, 2025 to August 31, 2025. The 6-week internships provide a fellowship of $6500 and is open to graduate students studying ecology, evolution or environmental science at one of the University of British Columbia, University of Regina, McGill University or Université de Montréal. Internships can contribute to your graduate stipend in accordance with the policies of your department and university. Students who have completed a previous Living Data Project internship are ineligible.
Priority will be given to graduate students who have taken the Living Data Project courses “Productivity and reproducibility in ecology and evolution” and “Scientific data management for ecology and evolution,” although graduate students who are willing to commit to taking these one-month virtual courses in fall 2025 will also be considered. Students should demonstrate strong programming skills in R and understand the fundamentals of data management, data archiving and reproducible research.
